spring break I

ryder was on spring break last week, and instead of heading somewhere warm and tropical, we decided to stay here in wisconsin, and enjoy the snow/ice storm on tuesday;) HA!!! okay, it wasn't all that bad, and we managed to find a lot of super fun things to do....quinn was so happy to have ryder home for the week!
on tuesday (yes the day of the nasty storm) we went with some friends to tour babcock creamery. it was really fun to see them make all that delicious ice cream!
ryder got cookies and cream

and quinn ordered blue moon:)

spring has sprung

it didn't take long for jesse to see potential in the backyard, for growing food, that is:)

ryder and quinn have been so eager to help, it's been their sunday "chore" with dad, and everyone seems so happy....even mom, who enjoys quite time on sunday mornings! i think this garden is exactly what we all needed!

he sings too-in hmong

in one week we had the pleasure of seeing ryder in two performances, which keeps me happy, although i'm still a bit bitter about not having a christmas play to see, ha! here we attended a family math night, with a little music number afterwards, yeah, not sure if this was all thought out or just decided to 'kill two birds with one stone' kind of thing, but math and music totally works for us!

hip hop night

ryder got to show off his super cool moves to us and his friends/teachers, and wow, was everyone impressed! the butterfly....hands down the best hip hop move ever!!!

quinn's new words

she has quite the imagination, and here is just a little taste of what we have the pleasure to listen to every day!

carmel marshals-a small piece of candy/chocolate
yosha and ceca-barbies names
rugama-a dish made up of corn, hot dogs, tomatoes, and avocado

feeling a little like spring

ryder had a day off of school so we headed over to olbrich gardens to get a look at some pretty flowers, and to hang with our little buddy wesley (who is now walking!)
raise your hand if you love your mommy......

colorful quinny!

and now we welcome the toothfairy!

it took several months to finally get these little suckers to fall out, but alas, a large hole in the bottom of ryder's mouth! the entire process was so crazy for me to witness, and his reaction to his first tooth falling out was just priceless, a moment i will never forget! what a big boy:)
