summer fun has begun!

greenhouse with grandmama

grandmama took us to the local greenhouse and we bought all the right plants and flowers to get the garden started this summer. the kids had a blast picking out their own flowers, pulling the wagons, looking at all the different colors, and then eating ice cream (yes! they had ice cream at this farm....who would have thunk.).

ryder is a fisherman

the boys have been fishing just about everyday at about 7am with coffee, 1pm with lunch, and then again around 5pm, right before dinner. ryder is such a natural, he baits his own hook, casts his own line, and reals in his one "whopper". it's so fun watching him, what an amazing experience for our little man, to catch dinner and feed the entire family, he is just so proud of himself:)

quinn and abby do rhinelander

the little girls, quinn and abby, had a special weekend with they daddies in rhinelander, and i heard it was just full of giggles, hugs, silliness, and just their precious cuteness. i am so sorry i missed such an event, but was very excited for the daddies to have their special time with the girls! check out the awesome pics on abby's blog (thanks for taking them uncle josh!)

boys weekend

tiera and cohen came for the weekend, and jesse and quinn headed to rhinelander to see abby (waiting to get some pics from uncle josh). the mommy's and boys had a full weekend of fun, fun and more fun! hayward, hunting cabin, 4 wheeling, bumpin tunes, sunshine, volleyball, practice casting, and about 100 wood ticks (okay, that was NOT fun, very gross!).

we went to wilderness walk in hayward, walked amongst deer, peacocks, turtles, goats, alpacs, and even played in a crooked house, maze and panned for gold.

we then went to a lovely restaurant for lunch, which the boys treated us to, and then since we all cleaned our plates, we went first to the candy store and picked out some salt water taffy (can't resist that place) then off to the ice cream shop, yummy!!!

it's raining, its pouring

rain, rain and more rain.......still can't keep us sfmangos inside! yep, that's what i said, bring it on wisconsin!!

quinn would ride down to ryder and he would catch her, it was hilarious, she screamed the entire way, and then they would both laugh and laugh...ah, i love those little giggles:)

ryder loves to help out in the kitchen, and well, that's where i spend most of my time, so it's fun to get the kiddos involved! he did so well with the peeler, and was so proud of himself.

i brought the family to a hidden treasure in birchwood (a place where i use to hang in high school) on mother's day, to try and find our inner "country". not sure if we found it yet, but we did find a nice log to jump off of:)

happy 60th birthday grandpapa

we had a birthday celebration for grandpapa, and for his cake we made individual chocolate molten cakes, yum, yum, yum!

sunset dessert ride

we decided to take the kids out on the boat, all bundled up, for a little sunset cruise, and some dessert:) oh, and to see our local beavers that have been cutting down trees in the yard.

mmmmm.......

this is the ambitious beaver's house, or should i say mansion! and a couple sandhill cranes.

cousin cohen

we made the trip to plymouth to visit tiera and cohen (and also charlie, steph, eliot, and baby june) a few weekends ago, the boys had a blast together. ryder has been craving some "guy" time, i think they wrestled for atleast 2 solid hours. oh, and cohen was so sweet with quinn, it was just precious, and quinn loved the attention.

slumber party in cohen's bed, well we tried. it didn't work out as well as we hoped, my kids didn't go to sleep until like 1130, but fortunately we are adaptable and we figured it all out. but, regardless, aren't they cute:) cousins........you just gotta love cousins!
