quinny's chinny

as we were finishing up our day, quinn decided to help herself out of the bathtub.......bad idea, quinn!! she slipped and caught her chin on the tub. it was just terrible and i felt a bit overwhelmed with how much blood was actually coming from her face. but, after a phone call to nurse judy (my mother), a lollipop, and some medical tape, our night was back on track:)

mom and ryder, fun day!

so we decided that before ryder started school jesse and i would each have a 'fun day' with him. that means 24 hours of absolute FUN!! ryder and i started our day with a trip to lombard street to witness the life size rendition of the game "candy land". lots of candy, huge playing cards, kids as the players, and princess frostine was there:) okay, so then we were off to the north bay for some mini-golfing (this has become one of ryder's favorite pass times, thanks to an afternoon with uncle troy), a trip to the toy store, back to the city for a dip in the pool, then over to the ferry building to meet up with tessa. grabbed a bite to eat at taylor's refresher, jumped on a train to bloomindales to see "g-force 3d" in the new theatre (which consisted of about 10 escalator rides, 3 over priced tickets, huge 3d glasses, and some skittles). this was ryder's first 3d movie, so he was pretty impressed!! after the show we then hopped a cab to aunt tessa's house for a slumber party:) we passed out shortly after we arrived. whew......what a full day of fun!!

camping up north

we drove up north to the russian river, with some friends, and finally brought the kiddos camping. ryder has gone several times when he was younger, cause he lived in colorado, but this was quinn's first time. it was a challenge jesse and i were ready to take:)

this photo cracks me up. i mean is this a photo shoot or what!! this is apparently what city kids do in the woods...ha ha

quinn is definitely our little country bumpkin! she was just so sweet the entire camping trip, and loved, loved, loved, getting dirty and also playing in the water at the river! it was just calming watching her.

just taking an afternoon stroll around the campground. we were up on the hill in armstrong state park, it was just gorgeous up there!

there is nothing better than some yummy fruit to start the morning off:)

ryder relates

as we were in line to pay for mini golf there was a little girl, maybe 1 or so, with her family hanging out. quinn went right up to her, and the girls just kind of looked at each other. the little girl then puts her finger in her nose (maybe to show quinn a cool trick or something) and then her dad was like, oh nice, putting your finger in your nose again. well, then ryder walks up and looks at the little girl and says, "its okay, i do that sometimes too". jesse and i just about died! what a little gentlemen:)

ice-cold-lifesaver-popsicles!! whew, what a day:) after we were all done and heading to the car ryder said to jesse, "dad, thanks so much for bringing me mini golfing, i really appreciate it".

sunday fun-day, part 2

and then to our wonderful surprise (thanks to daddy) we got to play a round of mini golf at the local golf course.

ever since playing in wisconsin, ryder loves this game! he has a unique stance, but manages to get the ball in the hole!

quinn loved carrying the ball and would just throw it into the hole when it was her turn.

sunday fun-day, part 1

we head over to marin county on sundays for the best farmers market ever! i mean produce galore, sunshine, yummy breakfast (waffles with powdered sugar for the kids, and yummy gourmet crepes for mommy and daddy), coffee, and endless tastes of juicy fruits and veggies! we always have a wonderful time here.

with all of ryder's new climbing gear, a date to the gym with dad was a must! ryder is such a good climber; jesse and i are eager to get the entire family into this amazing sport.

1-2 punch

we blow up the punching bag every once in awhile and let the kids have at it! better the bag than us:)

ryder cruisin the beach in search of unique pebbles. the photo made me realize how big he is getting and how quickly 3 years passed by (we have a 16 x 20 framed photo of ryder when he was 2, walking in the exact same spot at muir beach).

there's nothin better than a popsicle

we had a ton of leftover watermelon from ryder's party, and a few super ripe peaches, so, it was time to get out the juicer! we made yummy juice, and then decided to make a few delicious popsicles! the kids loved these things.

i like to ride my bicycle...

we head over to lafayette park (luckily it's right next door) just about every day so ryder can cruise on his bike. he is so good, we just can't believe how easy he is making it look, what a natural!

quinn is desperate to ride too. i bet she will be cruisin on the wooden bike in the fall.
